I had him sign my warranty book and owners manual for that car too. He seems to like to talk about Mavericks.
Knee is doing good. I made my first 11 passes on the orange car last night and it is only a little sore this morning. I wasn't consistent at all, but I had a great time. That car is just fun to drive.
wish i had made 11 passes last night. only made 4. 2 time trials and 2 elimination runs. won the first, thought i had the second but i guess i must have misjudged the finish line and let him take the stripe by .009 seconds. guess my judgement is lacking in my golden years.
So, I went to a Jack Roush open house again last night. It was small, not a lot of people. I harassed him about Mavericks a lot. It is really cool when he explains stuff to me about the Tijuana Taxi and his other Mavericks, I just sit there in awe and don't think of good questions until later. I had him sign a copy of the picture that I took of me with him last time(I have it at the front of my drag racing logbook). I was definitely much more calm, cool and collected while talking to him last night. Last month I was a huge dork, this time just a little pathetic. Maybe next time, I could think of at least one intelligent question. I also learned more about their drag racing cars they are running in the NMRA this year and talked to his daughter too. Just wanted to share.
