well, i'm in process of assembling my engine, and kind of fogot where some of
my brackets go, could you guys help me figure this thing out? i added arrows
to indicate my confusion areas, and if you see something out of place please
let me know, i've also noticed that my water pump seems to be missing a hole
or something since my timing cover has 3 holes on top, water pump only two (see pictures). thanks (y)

    On the
1st picture any hole with threads are accessory holes. No threads requires a bolt
3rd picture that is your oil pressure port
4th picture on bothe heads the larger hole is the Thermactor port. If you don't have an air pump (doubt it) these will need to be plugged or it will have an exhaust leak. These are a special thread. You can get the plugs from a Ford Dealer part number F4ZZ-6E086-A, you will need a total 4 of them I think they come 2 to a pack. The other 3 holes are accessory mounting holes

Picture one and two ... Put a bolt in the water pump holes ... if there is a thread then there should be a bolt. Some bolts go into the timing chain cover ... others go all the way to the block so make sure you have the right length bolts in the right place.

Picture three is for the oil pressure sender.

Picture four are the holes to mount the alternator bracket on the head.

In the 2nd picture mine is the same way nothing there.

On the inserts for the heads they will have internal threads for accessories also.
