Came across some pictures I took last year when I opened up my cowl due to a water leak. Thought some of you might want to see how it looks when you just cut open the end of the cowl that is normally hidden under the fender. Ends up that's not where the leak was but while I was in there I slopped some POR 15 around to seal it up. Should be good for another 37 years.
I've seen a lot of the cowls repaired by removing the entire cowl cover or cutting through the nice painted surface at the vents but I like this way better. Heck, you could completely screw it up and the fenders would still cover it up.
Years ago I used to have a Mustang Restoration shop. I repaired many cowls by cutting into the side like that.
