My son had a v6 pickup that had a single glasspack just behind the cab, then it split into duals behind that. Both pipes went over the axle together then went to each side behind the tires. It sounded real good, had a deep, throaty sound, but then again, it was a v6. An inline might sound totally different.

Inline 6's have a way better sound than V6s.. idk about turbo style mufflers since newtoford gave us the review on his with the 250 engine.. i know for sure that a glasspack sounds pretty damn good on mine, but thats with upgraded 2.25 exhaust all the way back.. but heres a good vid of the sound..

If you think an I6 sounds better then a V6, I'd suggest watching this clip:
There is no way you're going to get an I6 to sound like that... |

That sounds so much like my wife's 250 with the duals that it is scary. Hers isn't quite that loud but the sound is so close.....
The 250 is an inline six.

cutting off your stock muffler and replacing it with a turbo wont do anything to give it a performance sound.
it definatly aint going to sound anything like that green stang cut the muffler off and fit a glasspack in somewhere

Big bullet muffler from Apexi (dunno where that apostrophe goes). There was a 75 Mav with one down the street from me when I lived in Wilmington. Sounded almost import ricerish. You can find 'em at any old auto parts store.
