I'm so excited, I just got my Bitchin Battery Box and installed it tonight. Oh and it's made by a company here in Prescott Arizona and their name really is Bitchin Products...please don't be offended. :thumbs2: Anyhow, this uses an Optima Red Top and although I haven't taken it through tech yet, I think it will pass. It is externally vented and it is all cast aluminum. Gives it kind of an old school look with the fins on it don't you think?! Pretty cool in my humble opinion...

I really need one of those. How reasonable was the price? some of the billet ones are pretty pricey...

They aren't the least expensive...$175. I struggled with that for a long time, but I got the Optima for $100 and figured I could splurge on the box with the battery that cheap. I was also worried about the weight as this is going to be a race car...but it's not that bad. Here is their web site if you're interested...

Let's not push the envelope Gene! I've only been working on it for a year...or maybe two...ok, this is taking way too long! You know originally this was just supposed to be a simple gear swap. I've got most of the major parts taken care of now...it's just a TON of little things left.

tony, isn't your rear trunk sealed from the passenger compartment. then there should be no problem as long as it's securely mounted. i have 2 optimas in mine and no box at all.:)
