i was cleaning my car today...
when i took my carpet out to vacumn it i ran the vacumn over my new floorpans that were POR 15ed...guess what...the vacumn cleaner sucked all the POR 15 off the floorpan. it came off in about 3 sheets.
i had noticed before that when i was under the car i had peeled it off the bottom of the pan. the guy that did my pans did..mustang restro...work for years at a stang shop. :hmmm:
it had also peeled off my batt. box...
tomorrow i will clean it up and put ...Rust Bullet...on it..i have never had it come off...:thumbs2:

I can tell you, I got it on my leg, and it had to ware off, I couldn't peal it off, scrub it off or scrape it off, it was like a big black blob tattoo.

They say it isn't good for any NEW metal. It likes rusty metal better.

I have had the same experience as you, Frank.

...and how much "prep" did you do to your leg...

My leg I would think is as porous as rust would be, I know that I did go over some painted sections, and it would peal off, taking the paint with it. Oh well, if it comes off the underside of my car, I'll just have to have it media blasted and painted green.

Uh oh - I coated the floor pans in my '73 with it a few years back. I wonder what it looks like now?
