I ended up making a patch where the battery acid damaged the inner fender apron and also patched the BIG holes in the shock tower. I finished painting Rust Bullet today. Tomorrow I'll seal the seams then put the suspension back together so I can turn the car around and do the other side. (don't wanna shoot sand inside the garage) For pictures http://1bad6t.com/Maverick/maverick_7.html
Great job... do you have a pic. of that fine sandblaster you were showing me the other day? see you in a few days...going to my Moms in N.C. today for her Birthday... JFF...
I glad you didn't want me to show them my homemade parts washer made from a kitchen sink I know it looks country...but my redneck homemade sandblaster is the bomb. It out performs the store bought pressure pot blaster. It uses regular $1.50 play sand from Home Depot. The store bought blaster has to have someone shaking it to get the $13 a gallon media to fall to the bottom of the pot and it loves the air volume and clogs up every time to release the trigger. I paid around $8 for the nozzle at Big Lots and the plywood and screen (to filter the sand is on the lid) I had lying around. I forgot what the wheels came off, but they were laying around also.
That's the same kind of blaster I have. I just poke the suction hose into the sand bag and start blasting.
