Question Am I asking too much for my Comet?

I've been trying to sell my '77 Comet 2 dr. with Sport Coupe package for over a month and only had one call. What's the deal? It's in great shape and runs excellent. It has a 250, auto with only 74K miles. I went down from $4200 to $3500 and still nothing. I thought it would be worth more. Any suggestions on what I should ask? I'm buying a house and really need to sell it. PLEASE HELP.

well, consider that these cars are really not worth a whole lot to the general public. you are best finding an enthuisiast to buy it. Your car looks pretty clean, but...unfortunetly u might have to make a sacrafice.

According to this years Collector Car and Truck Market Guide, a 76 Comet (it dosent go to 77) in #2 condition is worth $1825. Add 10% for GT package and 5% for factory air. The difference between the 75 and 76 is $200 so I'd add another $200 to yours. It says the 4 doors are worth about $200 more than the 2 door. I found that interesting.
