Does anyone have any pics of a custom maverick interior?

Custom dashes, doorpanels, seats, trunks, consoles etc.. I am going to smooth out my dashboard and paint it body color and I wonder if anyone has seen this before on a mav.

Lookin' for some cool ideas. Thanks guys.:D

One thing I've always wanted to do was to put 3 guages in little pieces of pipe angled towards the driver in the center of the dash (where and AC car center vent would be). just an idea. Russ

    Thanks for the pics!

I see a trend of carrying interior and exterior colors together. I think it works really well with these cars. Since I am trying to save money for my chassis I think I will work on my dash and see what comes of it. I think everyone likes the gauge integration, I'll give it a shot. I think a totally custom lower dash is in order too. Gotta have a sweet place for the cd/dvd player!

Has anyone seen the new system that uses a lcd monitor for the gauges. It uses a microprocessor and converts the speedo, tach and other gauges into a video display for a tv screen and you can change it at will. The one I saw in Kansas City at USACi world finals (a car audio competition) had real looking flame graphics burning behind the bright red analog style gauge graphics. VERY COOL but it comes with a cool price It was rumored to be around $1500.00. Yikes. We'll see though just like any electronics, wait a few months and it will drop in price too. gotta have it.

Thank you Dennis I appreciate that.......If it warms up a little I might go back to working on it:D.......my guages are mounted in the angled pieces as well.......I put mine together the way i did with the fuses up there so I did'nt have to crawl under the dash:p I also plan on mounting the ignition components at easy reach as well..........I figure if I do it all easy now I'll enjoy it more later......cause lord knows when I get it together I ain't gonna wanna have to mess with that crap then:) I still need to drill the holes and mount my blind nuts in the dash so all of it will be easily pulled from the front.

This is my custom dash (to be). I have one hole finished right now. I'm using exhaust tubing that has just a big enough inside diameter that a 2 1/16" guage fits fits inside of it and welding them in the holes I have drilled. Each hole will be angled differently so that each guage is facing the driver. I have only had time to weld the center one so far and I'll take a pic and post it tomorrow.
