Has anyone had their brake drums vented/drilled by a company in Long Beach, CA. by the name of C.H. Topping? I was informed by a person on this forum about them. I went to their site and considering having mine drums vented. If so what percentage or improvement wud u say was observed.

Hi rthomas. Thanks for the link. I believe ur the one who informed abt this process. I contacted these guys and their charge is $50.00 a drum plus shipping and handling. I thought they might have some kind of special knowledge abt doing this proceedure. I have a drill press; after I read this link I just may take ur advice. I just read the link; Im going to give it a shot. I've got nothing to loose.

Vented my second "last" drum today. It worked out better than first "usually does". A brief descripiton of my procedure. I measured the circuference "850cm." "I use metric system - it's a lot easier" to get the spacing for the amount of holes I planned to drill. Eighteen w/ option of 24. I drilled 1 row of 12 holes "3/16" holes @ 71cm seperation, the second row of 6 holes @ 142cm. seperation for 18 holes w/ option of 6 more holes between the 142cm seperation for 24 holes total. I know this might sound a little confusing. It confuses me and I did it. All holes were drilled @ 45degrees from lip of drum. I have some pics to hopefully clear things up. Future update when wx gets warm enough to see what gains I recieved.
