I moved both straps out a couple inches, put a spacer inside the back hanger brace witch you can see in pic #3 and bolted the straps on with one bolt per side... I did this to take up a little slack in the straps.. Lastly I cut a new slot on the brace right behind the valance, I had to beef up that area so the bolt won't pull through..... Oh and I cut 1.25 inches off the filler neck...

So is the tank now centered? Or is it still off set like the stock tank was?

Not centered perfect but, I now have 5 inches on pass side and 4 inches on drivers side... The sending unit is in the back now out of the way... :)

You can see in pic #1 how much room there is between tank and leaf spring........

That install looks real gud + bonus of few more gals of fuel.
Do u have enough on pass side to get exhaust pipe out that side?
What abt fuel gage _What's needed to make it work w\ the larger tank?
I think I wud put some kind of stop on the open side of the rear slots to make sure the tank won't shift -- Otherwise nice job
