Here we go. 3 months notice to the Desert Maverick Meet.

    October 2nd, Speedworld Dragstrip

Carshow, drag racing, and just hangning out eating hotdogs. I am reserving the Club Lanes for us to along with their Sunday Challenge bracket racing. There will be plenty of room for all those that want to bring their car even if they dont want to race.

Racing is $20 per car at the gate and $10 per spectactor. Cars that arent racing can still park with those that are racing.

I will work on event patches like we did last time if you guys are interested. Maybe even have some kind of bracket racing event for us. If we do a bracket event Id add another $1 to the cost of patches to cover the cost of getting some kind of plaque or trophy for the racing winners.

I appreciate any input or help with the plannig of this. I'll see if we are allowed to bring in a grill for our own hotdogs and hamburgers. Ill be sending out emails/PMs soon to those that dont normally view the forum. This should be the big one we have been waiting for.

The average Daily temp for October 2nd is 88 degrees. Should be a nice day for a show and racing.

Yeah, that was my point in the other thread. I'm thinking that if everything goes as normal I might be able to hoof it back on Saturday night. But that's a big maybe. If I have to ride up with someone, I'll be at their mercy and won't be coming home until Sunday. But the race is only on Saturday, isn't it?

Although, I could always just skip the ET finals...I am just pit crew after all.

With all you guys doing all these different race series its never going to be a good day. Whether its Gene, Robbie, Or Don, there seems to be a race of one kind or the other every weekend. the 2nd looked good, the 9th had issue with an SIR race, the 16th was the PSCA race in vegas plus something else, and after that it gets even worse as the season picks up again for the fall.

But the majority of the maverick owners dont drag race regularly. And arent very active on the board. Thats who I am trying to get to come to the meet. To attract a bigger crowd and get more activity locally and meet more people.

Ive already met all you bastards so go ahead and go to your silly points races, we will have fun without you. :yahoo::dancing::dance::rofl2::grpnanadance:
