Great pictures on the body and primer phase....they show alot of hard work so far.

I like the colorful shots at the beginning, as you're taking it down to bare metal. (y)

Thank you :) The reason the car was painted red all over the place was where I wanted it sand blasted. Certain places didn't want blasted so I made it easier for a friend of mine who did the blasting.

He charged me 200$ to sandblast the car fenders hood, trunk, everything so I wanted it to be a easy on him :)

Poked around with the car a bit today but nothing big. Waiting on fuse panel to come in to start running new wires throughout the car. Anyone have any ideas, questions, or thoughts on what I should do?

Whsn relocating battery to the trunk would you move starter selenoid as well?

that depends on wich starter your using.
if your using the old style one that just has the one post then yes i would and have put the solinoid in the trunk.
if your using the newer high torque mini starter used on the 93 and newer 5.0s then i put the solinoid on the inside of the fire wall right above the starter.
also with the batterys in the trunk, nhra dragstrips will require you to have a battery shut off switch on the back of the car. i can make a wiring diagram of how i had mine laied out if your interested.

Yes i would be very interested in the wire diagram you made. I am not sure what 302 year I will be putting into the car quiet yet. I can always move the solenoid back to the firewall later on. And as far as the shut off switch I dont think I will be a drag only car. it will be a daily driver show and weekend drag car. So the switch kind of concerns me with someone tampering with the switch...

As for your dash you made. I was wondering if you could be so kind and donate me the measurements of he dash. I made a mock up with cardboard today but kind of curious as to what you did. I plan on changing the layout different from yours, but I am in love with your design.

    Thank you again

year of motor does not mater. around 1992 ford got rid of the huge starter and started using a much lighter and stronger starter. it will bolt right onto any old 302 and trans. it just requires a little different wiring.

i have no idea of the dementions of my dash. i can take some but the way i built it was from a card board template that i cut folded and taped into shape.

the angle of the front face is so its pointed flat at my face. so that maters on where you sit in the car, not my angle.

the other thing i ran into is my window crank handles were diferent on both sides. the passenger one is 1/2" longer and hits the dash. the drives side doesnt. so make sure to check for clearance on those.

Today I went and picked up a soldering gun, shrink tubing and some zip ties. Going to start laying out the electrical shortly.

Also going over and picking up a huge assortment of multi-colored wires with different strips etc so the car doesn't have 5 colors throughout the entire car.

Also talked with Bryant for a bit (kick ass guy :) ) about getting a 9'' and measurments for the dash idea he did that I am going to alter a bit to my liking.

Anyways off to the man cave for awhile. Girlfriend is bringing girls over to do their hair so i gotta get out of dodge :D

Got all the schematics figured out, and illustrated. Going to start working on setting up the engine bay tomorrow afternoon. Going to finish the front lights harness in the morning. Should have the entire harness all wired up and ready to go shortly. Still need to get a fuse block, and a toggle switches.
