horn button

    My maverick seems to be missing the parts under the horn button ,it takes the one with round center I think a spring goes in there but I am not sure does anyone have any pics of this setup

    Is it a stock steering wheel or an aftermarket one?

    Its stock, but I may go aftermarket after I get it to work again

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    I have never seen a spring under the center. It just twists on and off. It has wires that pkug into the steerig wheel. Do you have the center?

    If you go aftermarket don't use a Grant horn kit! They are known to short out, It's happened to me before as well as others on this board.

    Here's the diagram for a 73, I'd imagine 72 would be the same:
