You can see it for yourself in the Charlotte (NC) Craigslist. It is a 73 Comet GT with four pictures. The owner says it has perfectly solid floors, trunk, quarters, and fenders. The motor is in it, but does not run. Good glass and doors. Rebuilt C4 tranny. I know the lack of rust makes it good. It was a light blue GT, too, though I will not know that for sure unless I get a Marti reportm which also makes it good. It does not come with bumpers, valances, and other items, though I already have these. What is it REALLY worth, to be fair and honest...

Hate to say it but it is worth more in parts than it is as a car $1,000 to $1,500 tops

And to get a $1,000 in parts take a lot of time and labor for the seller. Ask me and others how we know.

Rev Ron is any of this helping? I know a true rust free body saves alot of work. But I think there are better buys at $3500.

I was going to say $750 to $1,000 max. There are cleaner more complete cars out there for less than $3,500.

"Garaged for 15 years, engine turns over easy, just needs a tune-up."

I was told the same )(*&^%$ concerning my Comet that had sat for five years and only needed a "tune-up" - which consisted of a complete motor rebuild.

For that price, in that condition, I'd continue to wait for something much better to come along. Because it will...

    Thanks!

Thanks, guys! I was thinking the same. He did come down to $2,800, but I'm thinking that is still way too much... no bumpers, warped valances, no blue door panels?...
