Understood.Perhaps to prevent bleed on hills or inclines for instance? Without it car would still stop but for $20 I personally like the idea of a guaranteed consistant pedal, especially since it is apart anyway so it wouldn't be too much more work. Besides, the blue anodized valve looks cool

Bleeding to where, and how would that happen?
