Hagerty Insurance

With my insurance pushing $150 a month, I recently started looking at Hagerty. What do you think a fair value would be for my car?

Car: 1972 Maverick Grabber, 200 I6, automatic on the column.
New Carb, Starter, drums all around.

Not looking to get a shocking price that makes me happy, Just looking for a reasonable amount to use, and also very curious as to what a guestimated value would be.

And as an Oregon car owner, What do you think Hagerty would charge annually? It is quoting me 317 a year with $5000 value. That sounds unreal and exciting but not sure if it's a reasonable quote as i just filled it out online. I am currently insured with my mom through my Credit Union. Just looking around to see where i can save money.

From what I understand is you give them the value and they choose whether or not they agree with it. Online it just gives me the option. Need to lower insurance so I can afford more on insurance/car payment when i get new wheels.

Mine probably will be! Only reason its running as much as it is -- I have no other ride to work. or back home for that matter. Still checking around because I dont know who I'd go to for insurance on the second car. Looking at a early 2000's Ranger, and being (almost) 19 and having 1 speeding ticket my insurance on my own would probably sky rocket.

just tell them you drive the car less than 20 miles a day and youl be verry suprized how haggady will value and lower your ride. which is an ausome color combo.

Usually, collector car insurance requires that you have another vehicle available for daily use, and that the car being insured is garaged when not in use.

Not sure about a minimum age for the driver .... I suspect that may be a clause as well ... Never had to try to buy a special policy like that until the past few years. All my cars were my DDs until I finally gave the Comet a break, a dozen years ago.

when I called I asked the lady how much they would insure my car for. she asked some questions and then she said...$20,000...$285 a year...
she also suggested that when I get it painted I should raise that value...

yes, you need another insured car...
