Every August in Macungie, Pa, there is a huge car show called Das Awkscht Fescht that brings in Antique and Classic cars from all over the USA and Canada. This show last 3 days. I had never been to this show before and never had my Maverick there because it wasn't old enough. The car is old enough now, and in fact has been old enough for the past two years, but due to other plans, we never made it down there. Today, my hubby and I hopped into the truck and finally went to see this show without the Maverick. I couldn't bring it if I wanted to because it had to be preregistered. Anyway, this show is amazing. It stretches out over 42 acres jam packed with nearly 3000 cars, vendors galore , food courts, and car corrals. There are no classes or judging, just several thousand beautiful cars and thier owners having a great time. It truely was a sight to behold. There was only one glitch that I could see in the whole show. 3000 cars and not one single Maverick or Comet to be seen anywhere. Not one! I just couldn't believe it. I told my husband that wasn't right. We will have to fix that problem and make sure that next year we WILL have at least one Maverick there to represent our cars and hopefully maybe even two ( if we EVER get the Stallion done). Wait til next year.
I had a thought. There were quite a few different car clubs there as well. It might be a good place to try to have a mini-meet. I really don't know how this show is organized as far as meets are concerned, but it might be something to think about. They do have a website if anyone is interested. It's www.awkscht.com.
