was black ever an exterior color option on any year maverick

 

I have seen black Mavericks in the junkyards, but could'nt tell you if they were re-paints or not. The paint chip books also show a black chip for the Mavericks, but that also includes other Fords of the same year as well.

 

Here is what I found

Black Exterior
70 Code A
71 Code A
72 Code 1C
73-76 does not show black available as a base color
77 Code 1C
