195-70-14 v.s. 195-65-14

    is there a big difference between these two tire sizes? 195/70/14 and 195/65/14, dosnt seem like much :hmmm:

    If I remember the math correctly the first number 195 is the width of the tire in millimeters, the second number is the percentage of the width that is used in the heigth of the tire from the outside to the rim.

    So a 195/70 is 195 millimeters wide and it is 136 1/2 millimeters tall to the rim.
    a 195/65 is 195 millimeters wide and is 126 3/4 millimeters tall at the rim.
