Here is another Mustang wagon for referance. As I remember, they not very popular sellers back in the sixtys, so there are not many around.

as i recall, ford never made a stang wagon in the sixties right?? I thought it was just a prototype??

Is that from a diff country, or was it really an option over here?

From what I was able to find out, Ford really did make a handful of Mustang wagon prototypes in the USA. As I remember, the opinion of the car was that it was not what the general public wanted when they thought of the Mustang. That was the end of the wagon idea. That picture of the white wagon was taken at the All Ford Nationals at Carlisle, PA this past spring. I never found the guy who owned it so I could ask him more about the car. But from what I had read, some people made thier own wagons using the Mustang coupe body. If it could be done with a stock Mustang, then it should be possible to do the same with a Maverick if someone really wanted too.

Anybody know of a Maverick ever being converted into a Ranchero type vehicle?

If Peter Max and Picasso put their heads together to paint a Mavchero, this is what it would have looked like! lol

    Poor car.

Well, if you took it to Africa you could hang out with a herd of zebra. At least the gas cap looks cool.
