I bought all new rubber for the car including headliner, carpet, speaker shelf and mat for trunk. The front and back window leak, if I don't get these fixed everything new is for naught. The company that did the installation is asking me "what do you want me to do about it" Has anyone elese had this much trouble putting in the glass? Oh yeah, No-one will tell me if there is damage to the metal so that I can get it fixed.

You'll need to pull out the glass to install your headliner .... use new gaskets during reinstall and that should fix your leaks.

I'm confused ... are you saying you already installed windshield gaskets are they new ones are leaking? If so ... whoever installed them should fix it ...

I have found that most body shops and glass shops don't know how to install glass in a Maverick.
Sealer needs to be put in the groove that the glass fits in as well as around the metal that the other part of the rubber fits around. Also don't forget to use the 4 little spacers that fits on studs at the bottom of the windshield.
If you take your time and not try to force something, with a little help from a friend, you can install it yourself.
    Good luck and be careful.

If it's leaking on the front, are you sure it's not cowl vents?

    leaking front and rear windows

It's the windows. Prior to installation of all new rubber including doors and trunk, they did not leak. I am going to order a new front window because it might not pass inspection, (it has white around the edge of the window). It might just end up for sale. Son's size 14 foot doesn't fit well on gas pedal. But then again, I might get to drive it as I originally planned.:D

Pulled the windows out of the maverick. There was no sealant on the rear glass at all. The front window had sealant on the bottom that was it.... Cleaned all the metal, primed, now waiting to install new windshield. Old windshield had white around edges, didn't think it would pass inspection and do not want to do it again.

Just as a point of information, there is not supposed to be sealant on the rear window gasket.

Sam ... not according to my Assembly Guide ....

Notice item 1 which is described as:

Black Sealer. Apply a continuous 5/16 bead around entire perimeter of back window opening after installation of retainer item #2 sealer to end and overlap at lower covers as shown in view G.

Interesting... Of the ones I've personally taken apart, I've never encountered any sealant. When re-installing I use the string method for getting the gasket around the glass and I've never had any leaks.
