    Hey Guys
    I have a 1972 maverick one owner with 39000 original miles on it, my wife's father bought this car new.....now the sad news is we covered it for several years vinyl roof rusted through I pulled the vinyl off and it pulled most of the roof off with it......it is a 302 with power steering brakes and air......not been cranked in years.....what is it worth my wife has finally decided to sell it

    If rusted to a good degree, most likely a parts car. Best to post it in the "For Sale" section. Also, good idea to put up some pictures and some of the folks here w/ long-term experience/knowledge can make suggestions.

    Based on your description, not worth much except for a parts car....unfortunately.

    If the rest of the car is very solid, a roof transplant isn't unheard of from a donor car. Advanced skills are required to get it aligned right but it can be done. Or maybe a conversion to convertible? But if the rest of the car has rust, yes unfortunately even with the low miles a parts car is all it is.
