So this is my dd and project on the weekends. 1973 Maverick 4 door with a 302 v8 and auto tranny. Picked up the car about 2 weeks ago and its been really great, runs good and body/interior is superb for a 40 year old car. Rust is minimal and all the floors pans are completely solid. Currently doing some audio work, new rear speakers and a new radio. Will keep you all posted with new pics info as I work on it! :thumbs2:

Not really sure what exactly I want to do for it, probably just make it a really nice street cruiser. Plan to keep it mostly stock, I've got loads of trim and original bits that I can clean up and put back on.

Next big thing is going to be fresh paint (macco seams to be pretty cheap and I heard as long as you do all the prep it turns out pretty good) and then maybe rims/tires.
I plan on installing the new radio this weekend, got it all wired up and working but it's sitting on the floor right now lol

Fresh paint will make it look sweet. put a little more grip on in the rear and drive it.
    Looks good.

New radio is in but i'm getting a little bit of clipping/popping at higher volumes. I think it might be a ground not getting great contact but i'm not sure. It sounds great at anything below around 30 so I can hear it fine whenever the exhaust (or lack of I should say) isn't too loud :yup:

Finished installing a pst suspension kit after I noticed that all the parts were shot...

But now it's all been aligned and its riding great. Steering is also massively improved.

Not quite sure what exactly to work on now, car is running great so its up to me what to do first.

I'm thinking maybe buying a headliner and getting that installed or replacing the front speakers with some old radio shack speakers I found for 5 dollars at a thrift shop, still in packaging. I am completely open to suggestions of what to work on next, brakes, body, who knows.

i would suggest doing what ever is necessary to make the car safe or safer to drive. basically brakes. if the brakes meet your needs then, i would next take care of what you notice most that the car needs.
