There's a listing on eBay for a 1973 AM/FM Radio from a T-Bird or Lincoln. It looks like the same radio as in the 1973 Maverick. Does anyone know if it is interchangable with a 1973 Philco AM Radio? Here's the description. You are looking at a used OEM Ford Philco AM/FM Stereo Radio from a 1973 Ford Thunderbird or Lincoln Mark IV. The part number on the radio is ED-D3AA 18A241 #110147. This radio has a speaker balance slider bar under the push buttons. The chrome on the knobs is peeling. The radio is complete with the wiring plugs, knobs, faceplate and rear mounting bracket. The radio appears to be in good condition but is untested and sold as is. Buyer pays shipping. All items paid by check will be held for 10 business days before shipping.
If it will fit the dash, it will work. May have to mess with the wireing a little if the plugs aren't the same. I would email the seller and see if you can get a measurement of the front of the radio.
I have one of those radios,, Yeah it will work in a Maverick,, but they are a little bigger on the back side and the install is tighter. Also might have to do some trimming on the face side. Is it an exact bolt in? No,, some wiring modifications will need to be done also. Dan
