1974 Maverick Grabber Dragonfly

in 74, a dealership in brazil created a modified front end and converted many grabbers. thats pretty much all i kno about this car

 

I believe Dragonfly kits were manufactured and installed by a company in Texas. Never heard of them being in Brazil.

 

I still want one with a Superbird spoiler and Comet tail lights.

Two different cars.

The black one is called "CENTAURO", which means Centaur, Greek mythology creature half man, half horse.

The silver one is the "SPOILER" kit, it was made in Rio de Janeiro.

Both from the 80´s.

You could not import automobiles in Brazil from the 70´s until the early 90´s, so replicas, fiberglass cars and "body kits" became very popular.

Another 80´s car was the MAVILLACK a.k.a. CADERICK..........got it?

The Centauro and the Mavillac were shown to FORD´s engineers, without a very positive answer.......

 

And the guy who built that Mavillac was trying to get Ford´s attention to make it a production car !!!
