Figured it's about time I got this up. Minimal progress to report for now, but still here goes:

Got the new fuel pump in.

Got all the speakers and grilles in- here's the rear package tray I just finished.

These need a little explaining. I decided a little while ago to pigtail everything I could in the car for easy removal and replacement. I started with the speakers. I've got them all hooked up to these two terminal plugs so if they blow I can just unplug them, wire the male side to the new speaker, plug it back in and reinstall. Turned out pretty good I think. I ran out of crimps before i could finish though, so only one side of the rear is like this. [IMG]

The seat belt interlock system. All of the cars ignition electrics go through it and I thought it was too much of a risk to rely on 36 year old electronics.t was an easy mod.

Got the locking hood pins on yesterday. It was a pain but I got the holes right on the first try thank god. I never thought I had the nerve to drill holes in my car until now. :) Looks good, though.

To remove it are there certain connections that you need to cross? I don't think mine is working right now anyway, I can start the car without the seat belt on. Would a simple test be if I unplugged it and tried to start the car and see what happens? thanks.

Yep. Exactly what I did. Just unplug the box when you're done with the splices.
