Hey guys, inherited my grandfathers 75 Maverick a few months ago. He has owned it since 2004. Its been maintained by myself over the years and used mainly as a vehicle for when family comes into town. Its a 302 automatic with a/c and disc brakes. Currently 29k on the clock.

Very nice car! A little overkill with all the emblems on the front...but that's just my opinion.

Welcome! You are not too far from me in Tempe.

Great pictures for your first post! .....of your Maverick that is in GREAT shape.

Looks like I can see remnants of a Black colored band on your slotted rims...you could very well have Factory Maverick slotted rims...which is nice. The Halo style roof is nice too. :)

Thanks for the warm welcome! Nice to see a few AZ guys on here too. The car is fairly original, except for the extra emblem on the front grill and the entire interior has been redone. It was originally a cloth bench seat car but he wanted a set of buckets, the carpet was replaced at the same time. Ill admit I fit much better with the buckets. In the trunk is a floor shift column, floor shifter and a spoiler that I never got around to installing.

I was going to attend the meet last month, but ended up working instead. The car had carb issues for sitting some time anyways. Ended up having to replace a hard as a rock accelerator pump that was leaking pretty badly and fix a vacuum leak or two.

BTW saw a Black Maverick drag car loaded on a trailer in a neighborhood in Tempe. Looked pretty nice. Anyones here? I shoulda snapped a picture.

Well nobody made the meet last month. Well the on eat Speedworld got cancelled by Speedworld. But some of us did meet at the Central Cruise.

I dont know who has a Black Maverick drag car. theres a few guys that race regularly at Firebird and the regional racing series that have mavericks but dont get on this board.
