Hey guys, I just purchased a '75 Maverick yesterday and am stoked! She's got a 250 straight 6, 76,000 miles and runs well. I'm contemplating swapping out the drum brakes for some discs. A/C took a crap but going into fall/winter (whatever that means in Miami) I'll stick through it. The only other thing is that it needs a new fuel sending unit. All in all I'm happy with its current condition and look forward to working on it. -Dave
looks like too much work to be done youll be better off without it. Ill send a truck over right away to pick it up really good looking car. I like the color too. if that was mine I wouldnt change a thing other than the brakes........maybe if I could resist the v8 swap the small bumper conversion and......and .......and........ that car doesnt look like its ever seen a drop of rain. QUICK get it back inside before it starts to age.
Welcome, looks like you did very well on your purchase. You know you gotta fix the A/C...wish my 70 had A/C, never thought it would be hotter than a gnats butt in Washington. You'll find this forum very informative and interesting. BTW, Mercury Comets make good parts cars
