Hello I have a 4 door 1975 Mercury Comet. I've been trying to decode my VIN. I got some of it figured out but the website I was at doesn't match the VIN as mine. Here's My VIN: 5K30L525297 Body 54B Color 47 Trim MG Trans. W Axle 6 DSO 46 Here's what I have decoded so far, I'm most likely wrong, so please help me out Made October 1975 (Unsure about October) 6-250 -1 bbl - 70-85 Horsepower (Not sure what 6-250 or 1 bbl and unsure) 25,297th made (unsure but makes sense because I read in a website there was only around 53,000 made in 1975) Body Comet 4 door Standard (Certain) Color 47 Light Green (certain but the VIN doesn't say so) Trim Lt. Green - Barletta B/Cloth and Corinth Vinyl (L/B Bench) (Certain the whole car is a beautiful Green) Trans. C4 automatic (Not sure what that means. 4 cylinder?)
