    looking for a maverick
Hi all, I am new to the maverick scene and I have a few questions, What is the difference between 1970 maverick body and a 1977? besides the big bumpers on the 77, Also would the smaller bumpers fit on the 77? I am looking at a 1977 with a 6 cylinder what all is needed to convert it to a V8? thanks for any info on these questions!:drive:

Sorry, I noticed that everybody has asked these questions before as I scrolled through the forum. But I did not notice the one question if the 1970-77 bodies are the same?

Yup, they are all the same. Check the previous posts for info on swapping bumpers and installing a v8, several good posts there. Welcome :Welcome:

most of the body parts are similar. i think if you convert to the small bumpers you have to notch the fenders. also the gas tank on the 70 is the drop in style while the later ones were hung underneath. most of the other changes were cosmetic. 70-73 had a tray under the dash. some time in 73 they changed the tray to a glove compartment. welcome to the board.:Welcome:
