    March 8 marks another milestone in the history of the MMB. Two years ago, with the financial help of our members, I purchased the state-of-the-art forum software, Vbulletin.
    The MMB has been around in some form or another since 1996 and has been archived since 1998, making this forum the largest and longest running Maverick/Comet forum on the Internet!

    The MMB has been growing at a steady rate with just about each month setting a new record in the amount of new members, threads and posts. In February, there were 515 new threads, 4829 new posts and 83 new members, the most ever in a month. Lets keep up the good work and make the next year even better :)

    Last year, I asked for donations to pay for another year of forum upgrades and support, which is $30.00 a year. I collected $70.00 from members which would cover 2 years of support. Last June, Vbulletin released a Beta (test) version of the forum and extended everyone’s support by 3 months in order to get as many people to test it. Therefore, we are covered until June and I will renew support for another year with the remaining money.

    The testing of the Beta version of Vbuletin is almost complete and the final version should be released in about a month. Once that I see that it is bug-free, I will upgrade the MMB from version 2 to version 3.

    thanks stefan. i have made many friends here. made a lot fewer mistakes on our mavericks here...had a lot of fun here...as well as in person with my new friends...     Yes, I too have this as the opening page for my browser. Stefan has created home for all of us. I remember when T.L. was one of the top posters and also noticed BIG time when he left. Sam too!! Glad both are back. The knowledge and laughs shared here sure can make a bad day turn into something good.
