We're doing an engine swap on the mav. Going from a 200 to a 250. Got a new (old) bell housing, but I need to know what size the bolts hold the new bell housing onto the motor. The bolts from the bell housing on the 200 are not the correct size. I need to be able to call my daughter in town and tell her what size to get. Thanks

They are 7/17" coarse thread and I think 2 1/4" long - not real sure about the length so measure the width of the bolt boss on the bell and then add 1/2"

I believe Paul meant 7/16. I know the bolts for a 302 are 7/16-14, not sure if a 250 is the same or what length you would need.

got it guys, thanks! Now, on to the shift linkage and bending new transmission lines. The radiator/fan arrived today from Champion Cooling in California. Need to mount the fan, and put it in. Closer, ever closer. I also have to get some help from one of my boys to wire the fan. I know when to ask for help!

couldn't wait for the boy's day off. Decided to just use the regular fan and new radiator until he can get here to do the wiring. Before I bend lines, I heard from a neighborhood "expert" not to bend lines, just "buy braided lines (not very specific) and the fittings". Any thoughts? Sounds so much easier, and I'm all for that, if there's something out there like that.

The braided lines are rubber on the inside - they hold geat. Metal lines can be bent easily with an inexpensive tool and they add cooling capacity. Metal lines will radiate the heat away.

plus the metal lines wont form leaks in the middle, braided lines are more resistant than plain rubber but still crack and leak..... of course the bending part isnt as easy for me as it is for paul. i have to buy extra lines to work with for when i kink at least one.... get the best line bending tool you can afford if you go that way ;P
