The 3rd annual Virtual Car Show (VCS) will be held in the begining of February. All participants in the VCS will have their car(s) judged by other forum members who will vote for their favourite car in each category. The members with the top 3 votes of each category will get a VCS trophy that will go under their username.

Once an entry is received, I will update this thread to confirm that I have received your entry. Here are the winners from the 2005 show.

The categories for the show are the same as last year, but if there are not enough cars submitted for a category, I will merge two categories together. If a category has too many entries, l'll split it up(Maverick/Comet, big bumper/small bumper, etc).

    STOCK
Cars that are more or less stock, with minor cosmetic changes(scoops, spoilers, wheels) .

    SEMI MODIFIED
Cars with seat changes, carb, ignition, exhaust, roll bars, etc

    MODIFIED
Cars with transmission changes, engine swaps, bodywork, suspension, EFI, etc

    RACING
    Cars setup for the track

    FOREIGN
Any Maverick built outside of the USA and Canada.
If an owner lives outside of the Americas and owns a North American built
Maverick/Comet, they can enter in this category as well.

    ENTRY RULES
-You must be a member of this forum.
-You have until February 6, 2006 to submit an entry of your [Its not to late, you can still submit an entry, even though the deadline has passed] Maverick/Comet.
-Voting will take place shortly after that date and the winner will be determined by the most amount of votes.
-Limit one photo per entry. Picture must be of your own vehicle that you currently own.
-Must include a short description of the vehicle, including all modifications that were made.
-You may include a link to your webpage that contains more pictures and/or an indepth description of your car.
-Limit one entry per category per car, but you can enter in as many categories as you like if you own more than one car(Submit each entry separetly).
-All decisions I make regarding this car show and entries are FINAL.
-Any sort of cheating will automatically disqualify your entry(s).
-Entries MUST be sent to carshow@maverick.to, no other methods will be accepted

    WHAT TO SUBMIT
    -Your forum user name
    -Your picture (1 only)
    -Short vehicle description
-Please include "Car Show" in the subject line.
    -Optional link to your webpage

    Good luck!!!

I'm sending mine in for the hell of it. :) My minor cosmetic changes are a Grabber Grille and Ford license plate. :D I think we need a "beater/daily driver" catagory.

There should be a category for "Jack Stand Racers". There seems to be quite a few of us in that one.

j/k about the category. Maybe I'll start a thread where we Jack Stand Racers post a pic of our 'race cars" - on jackstands of course.

Rick, I obviously would win that catagory. :rofl2: Pretty much when it wasn't driving, it was on jack stands getting worked on.

I miss that rust free body.

Sent mine in as well. I couldn't do it last year 'cause the car wasn't done yet. It definitely was a beater back then.

Yeah I know. The 3 x 1 intake with carbs/head is sitting on the work bench and I do have the header hanging on the wall, but well I dunno. Maybe on the next one.

If mine had a V8 I would do some bolt on stuff like intake and carb. Headers , distributor and maybe even a cam, but my 6 is so clean and stock I can't get myself to change things
