2016 issue of Elapsed Times

This mag is an annual issue and it features historic drag racing photos from Car Craft's archives. The first article on page 6 is about the Wildcat Dragstrip in Paragould Arkansas. This place as been running since 1959 and has minimal rules and tech. No timing equipment, flag start and eyeballs at the finish line call out the winner.

The one photo for the article is of the starting line, featuring a giant "Run at your own risk" sign. In the distance, leaving the starting line is not one, BUT TWO Mavericks, side by side. You really have to look to see them .... almost missed it.

I have been collecting Elapsed Times each year when it comes out. This is the LAST issue they will print, and it is on the newstands now.
