Does anyone know what the weight difference between a 250 and 302 is?

According to my chart, the 289/302 is 460lbs and the 250 is 385.

On the 289/302 is that a long block with exhaust and intake?

Don't know, did have another source that gave the weight at 500lbs. Maybe that's the complete setup where the other was just a long block less the add on's. I always figured about a hundred pounds differance between the two.

A 302 ready to run is about 460lbs...according to some old ford books I had.

My source says 385lb for the 250 and 460lb for a 302.But add an aluminum intake, and tubular headers, and that figure should drop to around 400lbs,less if ya got aluminum heads.

Thanks guys. Although I was not planning on changing over to a V8, I just got the chance to pick-up an entire late T-Bird that was t-boned. The engine trans were rebuilt a couple of years ago and still drives great. So I'm thinking of swapping the engine trans.
