i just finished putting in my new radiator.26x19 aluminum with 2 1.5 inch cores. im pretty sure this is the biggest radiator you can fit into the stock location.
i had to cut and trim some metal at the bottom so it could sit low enough for the hood to close. i also fabricated some mounts top and bottom. i put my stock mechanical fan and shroud on for now until i can get a electric fan im going to get a polished cover to sit over the top and cover the brackets and stuff up but i think you looks pretty nice.

I've also got the Northern in my 71. Works good. My only complaint is there's no drain petcock. I have to loosen the lower hose to drain it. Kepp saying I'm gonna get one put in.:)

My Griffin doesn't have a petcock either. I use a small drill pump on my cordless drill

Same here, don't know what they were thinking. I thought about installing an in-line drain such as this.

Mine is similar, and I use a heater hose as a siphon. At least antifreeze is tasty...

It looks to me like the only problem is that the fan is on backwards.
Maybe I am just looking at it wrong but if it is on backwards it wont pull as much air at an idle
