2nd Yonge St. run.

On Sunday Nov 8th some of us Maverick / Comet guys are going on the 2nd annual Yonge St. run, if any of you Canadian (Ontario) Maverick / Comet guys want to join us for a last chance cruise run up Yonge St. and a stop for a coffee and a few dozen dognuts, all are welcome. For more information and the time and the meeting location just P.M. either myself or Larry Winter for the info. I myself will not be going as my Comrick needs sum fixin' and i'm a little under the weather so it's best that i sit this one out.:16suspect Please whoever does go -------Take lots of pictures........ please, please, please.

If your going on the 2nd annual Yonge St. run with the boys, meet them at 10.am. in downtown Toronto at Yonge St. and Queens Quay which is across from Captain John's boat which is a floating resturant. Look for Larry Winter's blue Maverick and Brian's red Maverick. I'm not sure who else is going but bring your camera and have lots 'o' fun and no driving crazy eh! Oh yeah!!!!!!!

Since i was not there does anyone have some pictures of our little event since it may be the last Maverick/Comet run that the NRMCC puts on for 2009?

Yeah i just saw 'em, too cool, damn i gotta fix the 'ol Comrick. I missed out man. Hey i see a few of the old crowd seem to not show up--- what happened?

 

It was a nice Sunday for sleeping in or going to Church. All in all it was a day for driving the Maverick. This one is staying out a little longer.

Well with much disappointment i could not attend the 2nd annual Yonge St. run as my Comet needs some much needed repairs and i was a little under the weather ....... so all i can offer is not my pictures of the event but pictures that i borrowed (stole) from the other board and from Larry Winter.

Here is a shot of the start of the Maverick / Comet run to downtown Toronto. A nice shot of the C.N. Tower from a Mighty Maverick's sight lines. This is right after Brian showed up for the run. After some cruising on Yonge St. the boys decided to stop at the Hard Rock Cafe.

All in all it looked like a great time was had by all and i will be there for the 3rd annual Yonge St. run next year.......... but first i need to fix the Comet.

Turns out I got one more week before it goes away. Was suppose to go yesterday but my daughter was sick all day so I stayed home.
Looks like a nice week to finish up driving the car. 17 degrees tomorrow. Love that SW wind.

 

I remember that red car. I last seen it on the 401 on a trailer. Glad to see the problems resolved and that it's out pounding the pavement. Sweet weather for a drive guys. It was playing heck with me for I was "homesick " for Bucky. Indian summer and 4 speed cars were always a good time. Great looking shots and sure wish I was there...
