Depending on your mechanical skills, a clutch is fairly easy to change. You have to remove the driveshaft, transmission, starter, and bellhouisng to get to it. Any good parts store should be able to get you a clutch and pressure plate. I have no idea what they cost now.

    ...check/replace the ...pilot bushing.
...note how you take the ...shift linkage...off. :yup:
...check the ...u-joints...on the drive shaft. (y)
    ...check/replace the...trans. mount.
...you may want to get a...line-up shaft.

    all-in-all not a bad job...4/5 on a 1-10 scale.

A rolling floor jack and a good smooth concrete floor makes the job a lot easier. You can manhandle it out and back in if you are a tuff guy [or gal], but that tranny gets heavy when it's laying on your chest [been there, done that!].

Isn't Frank a plethora of useful info?:D The only thing you left out was a shameless plug for a crossmember.:biglaugh:J/K Those are all good points while it is out to check, the only thing I would add is if you have a chance get an extra yoke for the tanny grab it and put it in so that when you pull it tranny gear oil doesn't leak out the tailshaft and make a mess.

I agree... I man handled the transmission out and back in our '95 Mustang. In the driveway, with the car on jack stands, and no creeper or anything. Then once I got it up in there and seated in the bell housing, I had to hold the transmission up with one hand while I tried to get the two top screws started with the other. Wasn't any fun!

Yes, you can(should be able to) get everything you need at any of those places. They may have to order some things but they should be able to get them.
