I bought a T5 from a 4 cylinder not knowing the pilot bushing was smaller than the three speed. The three speed input shaft is .673 and the 4 cyl 5 speed is .586. I need a conversion pilot bushing. Any ideas?
Take all of your measurements (OD, ID, length) to a machine shop and have them make one. It'll take them about 10 minutes on a lathe.
From FordSixPerformance forum: ... part number for the pilot bearing for 4cyl T-5 to mate to 200/250ci is SKF Part no. 6202-2RSJ, sold at NAPA for $25. I'm sure you can source it other places as well, but be sure they don't accidentally order 6202-RSJ as it only has a seal on one side. http://fordsix.com/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=74063&p=569403&hilit=pilot+bearing#p569403 have fun
Good deal, and it's a roller bearing instead of just a bushing. It's been awhile but I don't remember my Ford roller bearing having any seals.
You don't really need a seal on both sides, just toward trans, what's in the crank cavity will stay there... Add some grease into crank, install done...
