May get by with the stock rockers if they are 3/8 stud, But you will need new hardened push rods to work with the heads (unless you already have them now) You also need the head bolt locator washers as these heads have the 1/2 inch head bolt holes.( or so I'm assuming since they are advertisted to fit a 351) I would also buy new dial pin locators (cheap insurance). You also will need to check piston to valve clearance.
And be sure to anti seize every bolt that screws into the aluminum. Im sure there is more but just cant think of any more at this time.

    Spot on.

Hey Blown, your age is starting to show. Most people wouldn't have said anything about the anti-seize.:thumbs2:

Are you using headers or stock manifolds?
Have you checked at Edebrock's site to see what they say you may need?

Yeah I even put anti seize on the spark plugs. Dont know if it is right or not but havent ever had them come loose.

The heads are a good investment you will love them :thumbs2:

I anti seize the plugs, head bolts and header bolts. I do find that my header bolts like to loosen up. If you're going to that much trouble why not find a nice set of roller rockers. I use the Crane gold rockers, but they have some on ebay that are pretty reasonable. :)

looks like a nice set of heads. You might get them a little cheaper though. The local seco has them for $1049 a pair

Good choice on cam. Stock '72 rockers and pushrods won't work with those heads. Hardened pushrods(stock length may or may not be optimal) are needed with guide plates. Stock rail rockers won't work in combination with guide plates, need non-rail rockers. Also rail rockers won't work with short tip valves(rails will ride on keepers or retainers) even if guide plates were removed.

o got a set of those heads on my 302 and its just awsome, got some roller rockers on it too cause i dont think it works just with stock cause of the guide plates, and for the head bolts i used 7/16 arp bolts since i put them on my 302. 1/2 is for the 351 like what blown 5.0 said

Depending what youre starting with, either one of the heads I have will be an improvement over stock and not cost nearly as much as a new set. The cam you listed is pretty small. As in, hardly any bigger than stock. A stock H.O. roller cam specs only a few degrees shorter duration and .020" less lift. You could find a stock H.O. cam and a set of retrofit roller lifters for well under $400, then have money for a set of used heads (mine or otherwise) as well as roller rocker arms and be way ahead of buying a set of new Edelbrocks.

Depending upon if you bought the heads yet; I was going to use these heads (bare) but, I called Edlebrock and found out there was no difference between the RPM heads and the regular Performer heads... May want to check into that before paying the extra few dollars for them.
