302 flywheel

    found a 76 truck with a 302 standard can i use this engine with my c-4 auto and flywheel in my 71 grabber i know there is a difference in flywheel weights thanks ron:huh:

    You must discard the clutch, pressure plate and flywheel. Might could sell them if they are in good shape. Also don't forget to remove the pilot bushing in the end of the crankshaft, may come out with a pry bar but more than likely you will have to use a puller. Replace with your C-4 "flexplate" aka flywheel, and it's bolts, should be the 28 oz balance. 50 oz came in later 80's engines.

    as "old guy" said..nothing from the "pilot bushing" back will work...frank...

    Does the truck have mechanical clutch linkage or use a cable?
