302 installation

    me and dad got the 302 bolted up to the tranny todaybut the frame mounts were using came off a mustang, the engine need to come up some more in order for the motor supports to slip onto the frame mounts were using. can the tranny be move forwards?

    '69.5 Maverick 302, T-5, Grabber Green
    Mustang engine mounts won't work on a Maverick. You have to get the frame stands and motor mounts from a Maverick.

    This is a wild guess but maybe if you use intermediate mounts they'll work.

    so i can get motor supports for a 66 i bolt them to the frame aof the car intstead of using the frame mounts? is that what your saying?

    im not really saying that, if it were me i'd get maverick mounts.
