Hey i recently just bought a 1973 maverick and i don't want to keep the carb soo im wondering if anybody can help me with this ?. What is the cheapest way to convert over to fuel injection or throttle body. I kind of want to modernize it ...the motor...brakes..suspension..So if you can help me with any info would be great.
Lawrenceville... as in Lawrenceville, GA? If so, I'm right down the road from you, and have almost everything you need to do an EFI swap.
I have an H.O. upper and lower, throttle body, fuel rail, and MAF meter. You would need to go to Pull-A-Part and grab a harness and distributor out of an 80's Crown Vic/Town Car/Grand Marquis, get a computer for an H.O. engine, 19 lb. injectors out of an H.O. engine and a fuel pump from a late 80's F150. I'll drop you a P.M. here in a minute. to the board, by the way. You're in great company here in GA, we have an awesome group of Maverickers here.
Welcome to the board... Jamies right... these georgia maverickers are great guys... and any tech help on doin the swap will be easy to find on this site... or just ask... im doin the same swap to mine good luck
Cole, I was thinking you could use a...roller gear...on a non-roller cam but not a non-roller gear...on a roller cam... this is from someone that is trying to learn about...EFI...motors... Frank...
