I was wondering, in everyone's opinion, what would be the best year 302 for a swap in a 70 Mav? I have found them ranging from 1966 to 1993. Just need some input before I fork out the cash. :hmmm:

    Thanks

depends on what you want. most 302's are the same unless you can find a mexican block. they are a somewhat stronger casting. if you want a roller motor you need to go to a later block. 1985 or later i believe. those are the standard blocks for a 302 or 5.0. i've got a 5.0 in my 95 mustang. that was the last year. then came the mod motors.:)
