Hi All, It's taken me 31 years to return to the family of Maverick. I had to sell my 1973 back in 1983 when my dad told me to sell it before I headed off to college. After being blessed to own over 50 cars throughout the years some old and some new, I had an internal drive (excuse the pun) to get back to the passion of where it all began. Last year, I picked up a 1973 Maverick in Georgia and had it shipped home where I began a quick restoration. Today, I can say that I'm proud to have it officially back on the road. Drive it last night and had to fan off the poparazi. Some of you have helped me immensely with information on this forum and a few personal questions too... Just wanted to say, thank you, and I wish all of you the best of luck with your Maverick's... Hope you enjoy the photos! Welcome One of my favorite colors and vry nice paint job. My first Ford, a 1973 Galaxie LTD "lite green". U got some wheels on that Fellow - do they rub anywhere? How does the car ride? Welcome from Windy City..
from Atlantic Canada! I love the colour of your car. The black trim around the windows is a nice subtle touch! Phenominal job on your car!!
Thanks for asking... The car rides just fine. very smooth with no rubbing anywhere. Front wheels are 20X8.5 and the rear is 22X9. I measured to make sure the backspace was correct all the way around. Also, I went with a soft compound lower profile tire to make sure there was no roughness.
