If you have done this swap could you share what mods you had to do to be successful. 1976 Mav. and thinking? Perhaps a direction on site(s)? Thanks.....Paul

pm me your e-mail address...I did this swap about 5 or 6 years ago and ran into a few problems that I had fun with...took me about 50 trys just to get the headers on...but I got it working and it turned out to be everything I had hoped for. Plus I speak Canadian, eh

I love my 351W... But if you all ready have a 302 block you might want to think about a 347 setup. Your life would be soooooooo much easier.

    As always just my .02

I have done this swap. I used the headers from Auto Krafters. They allow you to install the 351 and crank it, and thats about it.The steering hits down near the collecter. Thinking about a Mustang II front end. If anyone has done this reply!

I am going to try to install a newer mustang k-member into my '70 i was going to use a '98 set-up i found at the parts yard but after further examination we decided it has been bent from the front collision the car was involved in.So now i am waiting for another newer mustang to get pput out in the yard.it will most likely require major mods but it should work good when it gets installed.

I did it. Wasn't easy, but very do-able if you have a welder, sawzall, torch, and a few other tools--most importantly a piece of string, tape measure, and angle finder. Be prepared to remove the firewall and fabricate another (unless you figure a better way)
