351w help!!!!!

    i'm haveing a hard time finding a frunt sump oil pan for my 1984-351w i've looked high and low for this dam thing and i never thought it would be this hard to find any help would be great.:bs:

    The mav is gone but i'm still here!
    From what i heard all 1969-2002 pans are interchangeable.(Someone correct me if im wrong)

    So if you go to a parts store and get a oil pain for say a 76 LTD with a 351W it would be front sump and would fit your 84.

    yup, they're all the same. i ordered a new steel pan for mine from ebay for my 94-97 roller block

    I know how you feel ... when you have a 351W, it starts to seem that 302s grow on trees and are everywhere, and the 351-specific items you tend to have to dig for ... (not like Windsors are truly rare or anything like that ... )

    While you are down there, I would recommend a Melling oil pump and pickup ... the stock pickup has a bypass feature that can allow crud to get sucked in and jam the pump. Remnant of old valve seals did that to me twice. The Melling pickup has a full screen and won't allow that to happen.

    got one thanks a lot guys, the funny thing is i have a 302 but it needs lots of work, and i have the 351 from anohter project i started but had to move so i took my baby out of it and sold the body, will thanks again i'm sore i'll be back in here again with another Q soon enough. lol
