Yep...but I don't think you wanna do that. I'd advise going to this website and learn all you can about the Ford 6 cylinder. You should find all the 6 banger answers you need right there. http://www.fordsix.com/index.php
Go with half a 4-bbl. No, not a standard 2-bbl. Go with a Holley/Weber 2-bbl (those carbs came on 4-cyl and V-6 Pintos and Mustang II's) . It works like a 4-bbl in that it has a small primary and a larger secondary which opens as you full throttle. It's like half of a Quadrajet. Otherwise, for cruising, you are using only the smaller primary. If you go 4-bbl, don't go with anything bigger than 390-cfm, put on a header, and install a mild cam.
I put a four barrele Holley on a 240" six. It had a mild cam in it but everything else was stock. It woke that six up on the high end and the throttle response was great. It was a 390 cfm four barrel designed by Holley for the application. You can put a fourbarrel on anything but it has to match your application if you want it to be servicable.
the problem is that head flow really sucks so a 4bbl would be a waste since you cant get it all into the cylinders anyway. im running the same carb hawko mentioned and i really like it, not really any match for a v8 though but i have taken down a few 305 chevys with it. you could probably get all the stuff to swap for just over $100 and its well worth it
