In the process of prepping body for paint. wanting some suggestions from you guys. I'm not putting brown back on and I'm going with a Highland Green. My dad and I want to offset the color though. Were thinking white (rear brake light panel) in the back. heres a picture i found on this site showing what I'm going for minus the racing stripes. http://mmb.maverick.to/gallery/showimage.php?i=2869&catid=6 I'm wanting suggestions though. Should I white out the lower half of the car, or white out the roof to mimic a vinyl roof. I think the roof being white would be nice (i wish i had a photo editor to play around with) but wanted feedback from you guys. if i go with the roof, where could i get the chrome trim from drip rail to back windshield to offset?
I like the four doors with a vinyl top. That being said, a white painted top would look good with the rest of the car green. I like the white tail panel with that, too. You could always use a contrasting color pinstripe to seperate the two colors....
my dad likes white lower half but i think it will show dirt quicker. i didn't think about striping out the top for dividing
I have white on the bottom of my car, and I find it gets dirty easily. If you drive it everyday, you'll be cleaning it.
I will be driving probably a couple miles daily for college. i dont guess the dirt would bother me much . would i need a full gallon of white for what I would be doing?
My ex-wifes Maverick was two-toned with stripes on the lower half that I always thought looked pretty good. Here's a pic http://mmb.maverick.to/gallery/showimage.php?i=10403&c=8&userid=14073
If you're gonna do white, just don't do pure "rental fleet white". I'd tint it a little. I like the idea of white tail panel and roof, and pin striping the roof lines in for a nice clean look. In the end though, its yours, do what makes you happy.
